Today, while we were 'killing time' before Maci's monthly clinic appointment, we stopped by our favorite grocery store {no kidding!! It's a gem!!}

Once you get past all the lovely flower displays....
You come across the most enticing bakery/deli area.
It is, I'm sure, a smidgen of one might feel when they go to a market in France.
Anyways, we left with some of these..
and Maci chose these...
Bad photo, I know, but they are little Paris themed cookies!! Notice the Eiffel Tower, 'gigi', french flag, and flower shapes!!
The reason I didn't get a photo of my macaroons??
Well, it was my first time EVER trying these things, and well, in about 5 minutes or less, all six...
Were GONE!
My favorite flavor? Almond.
I am so going back to get more, next time in the area :)
Happy Mother's Day to all you mommy's in bloggy land :)
Happy Mother's Day to you, too, Jessica. Your little sweetie is just adorable in that big old store. Sounds like you have a new addiction? lol They are great, aren't they? The almond ones are the ones I love, too! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you too Jessica!!
ReplyDeleteI adore the Met Market. I used to shop there after I dropped the kids off at Stadium! (You know that we live on the north side of Commencement Bay.)They built a beautiful store in Federal Way. The location was poor, so it closed after 3 and 1/2 years...broke my heart!
ReplyDeleteWhen Mr D wants to take me on a special date. We go to The Metropolitan Market.
You are all in my prayers, every day!

First of all, I hope that Maci is continuing to do well! That looks like a great grocery store. Mine doesn't look that nice. I've never had maccaroons either. Hmmmm.....guess I should give them a try. I love finding new foods that I like (nutricious or not). Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh, Maci looks so cute with her little grocery cart! Those macarons look delicious! I would've gobbled them down right away too. I tried to make those once...it didn't go so well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you!
Wow! I love metro market! I used to go to the Sand Point one every day when I lived in Seattle, but now that I'm down south I make trips to the Proctor one. I just looooooooove that store!!!
