I know I'm *light years* late...in something that's obviously been around a looooonnnng time! {duh!}  

...but, I've been falling in love with these! 

-what else is new?! haha

Yesterday, a friend and I went on a little road trip to meet John and Sherry of Young House Love!!

They were speaking in Portland, at the Home and Garden Show.

{please excuse my creepo eyes...I can't stand pictures of myself, and we were laughing that I was a tad starstruck!!}

They were such a fun couple to meet...very sweet and funny!!

If you haven't checked their blog out, you should! They've been blogging for a while now, and I love their DIY outlook on life :) 

They have been working on updating their ranch-style home and blogging about it, while being hands-on parents to a very adorable little girl, oh and we can't forget about Burger, their little dog!!

They also recently tackled their first book, which is due sometime in the fall...

It was such a fun day, spent making memories!!

Making My Heart Pitter Patter....

Here's a peek at what I've been working on recently...I'm just about done with it.
Currently, I am"patiently" waiting for hubby to help me hang it {it's quite heavy for me} Over our bed is the intended spot for it.

 It's kind of fitting for Valentines Day!!

Can't complain about the price....since it was constructed using existing supplies = FREE!!

I am on the hunt for items to hang around it that are softer, since I'm more into this style:

Switcharoos...and Thank You!!

Okay! So like I mentioned in my previous post, I have been switching things up in my house!! I can't seem to leave things alone for very long!!

My new shelving that was put in the blank wall in between the front door and the dining room archway, {new as in, has been in storage for the last 3 years and just remembered I had them!} We-or I house-shopped for knickknacks....or dust collectors :)

I Have Issues...

I diagnosed myself with a problem....

I have CRAD......

Complusive. Re-Arranging. Disorder!

Am I alone?

In the midst of all my chaos in life, I like to make myself a little more work!!

I LOVE to rearrange, repaint, redecorate EVERYTHING!!!

My problem is being bored, I guess. {as if two children and all their stuff, a home to keep clean and orderly, church, and just life isn't enough!!}

I found I just can't sit still!!!

So! When I am in the middle of projects {like right now I have no dining room table, due to the fact that I decided I didn't like it white anymore...and I wanted it to look a little like this....}

And my living is torn apart, because I wanted a furniture arrangement with personality...{which involves taking down everything off the walls...etc}

Today? I am off re-hanging my frames, and art stuffs on the walls!!! {please help me pray I won't rearrange anything for a while!?} Dreaming of something like this:

Keepin' It Real!! {2012 Home Goals}

Well, I finally broke down and am deciding to post some 'real' pictures and let you all know {out loud...and publicize!!} what my goals are for this year.

The list could be longer, but for sanity reasons. I am gonna start 'small'!!

{please if looking at horrible photos and decor choices isn't your forte...and you have a weak stomach...please just don't read any further!!}

Since we rent our current pad, it does make it simpler for home decor {since we are not allowed to change anything...but our decor}.

1) I'll start with my bedroom.

There is reasons why I've never posted pictures regarding this room....

I've never EVER been happy with my decorating choices for this room.

{obviously haven't made anything decor wise ...just the dump pile area for the entire house}

Thank goodness for blogs and pinterest!!!

I've got my little ideas, sketched out and ready to go-

2) My front porch/stoop/stairs...

lol!! It really is not much of a porch...but it's still an easy spot to collect shoes...and rustic items...and apparently phone books... {seriously..does anyone use those anymore??}

Want to look like this-

Gonna need some mold/moss solutions...need to research something ecofriendly/safe for kiddos and people, like me, with severe asthma!! Thankfully there isn't any mold/mildew on the inside of the house...it's allll in the lawn and the exterior paint...hmm.

3) Do something a lot more ATTRACTIVE..with this corner...I'm stumped... 

I'm having piano placement issues....traffic flow is an issue...

Also the antique photos on the wall behind the floor lamp...need to be put somewhere else??

Need to do a wowzer affect with a piano bench...hmm

Again, thankful for some inspiration...from you know pin that interest!!

4) Bathroom...umphf schlumphf!!

Used to be browns and golds....back in the day...found awhile ago a white and gray dainty-ish shower curtain at Ikea for 10 bucks...so thought it would lighten up the space...yeah it does....but now needs a wow factor!

Needs storage/something above toilet...gotta get on that...

Thankfully for me, I've got lots of paint, extra materials, and time!

Progress:

The bedroom doesn't even look like the pictures anymore!! 

Already has been rearranged...and have more neato ideas up our sleeves...lets brake out the saws, hammers,  sewing machine and the paint brush!! 

I am MOTIVATED!!!
